Punk Rock Beauties

I've always loved wild child Betsey Johnson's from her signature cart wheel down the runway to other unabashed flourishes of her free spirit. Her line is fun, feminine, funky and ever-changing.  For all you off-beat brides she has created some hot looks for your wedding.

Real Wedding: Marisa & Stephen, part 2

More fab photos from Marisa & Stephen's wedding.  Marisa chose a beautiful wedding gown from Kristin Kelly for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.  It fit her like a glove!

The venue was swagged with a champagne silk fabric.  A crystal chandelier hung from the center, and twinkle lights illuminated the trees, along with pillar and votive candles.

Real Wedding: Marisa & Stephen, part 1

Today's photos are from the featured wedding of Marisa & Stephen in the Spring issue of InStyle Wedding Magazine.  Simply Natural Events planned their gorgeous wedding in just five weeks.  A palette of white, ivory, with accents of green and copper added to the beautiful private estate in Pasadena, California.  The stunning Marisa beamed at her prince charming, Stephen, in a fairy tale wedding.

Jetsetter: People Watching in Cannes, France

Since the Cannes Film Festival is running I thought what a perfect time to write a Jetsetter on Cannes.  I have to admit I haven't been to the French Riviera in a decade and writing this is getting my travel bug fired up.

Image via Destination 360
Located on the French Riviera, Cannes is a sea port town, with a motto, "Life is a Festival." Lined with luxury yachts, busy beaches and beautiful people, Cannes has a friendly atmosphere, and people watching on La Croisette promenade seems to be the number one past time.

If you'd like to get away from all the glitz.  Parts of Cannes still remain true to its small, fishing-port past.   Le Suquet is the 'old town' of Cannes. It's about a 15 minute walk uphill with narrow, winding streets and allĂ©es.  There you'll find small local squares, quaint shops and open markets.

Things to do:  Sail to Nice and Saint Tropez.
Visit the casino in Monte Carlo.  I'm not a big gambler, but it made for a fun evening.
Where to Stay: Hotel Carlton

Check out tomorrow's post on what to wear in Cannes.

Here Comes the Pooch

My only regret I had with my wedding was not including my beautiful pooches in the ceremony. So if you're having second thoughts about including your K9, don't hesitate! They'd like to feel the love too!  If your dog is too shy to walk down the aisle, just include him or her in the photos. After all, they're family.

Decadent Chocolates

Jessica Foster Confections makes decadent, melt-in-your-mouth truffles that are works of art. She infuses her diverse palate of Belgian chocolates with blends of exotic teas, herbs and spices to create intriguing flavors like dark chocolate chile and milk chocolate star anise-thyme.  These confections are a treat for all occasions.
